The Anatolian Cultures and Food Festival was a lot of fun! There was great food, lots of history, dancing and entertainment! My most favorite part was when November and I sang in front of people on the stage! I was so nervous! I wonder if November was too… And then we went where people danced in a circle and the music just made you want to join the dance! Oh and the history was fabulous! And the food, you can’t even describe it! It was soooo good! And you should try sticky ice cream, too good to be true! You just have to visit, you will have a blast! You can taste the culture and see the culture! When they come again next year I think I would like to go again! Go and enjoy Turkey!

Stephanie Calderon (6A)

The Anatolian Cultures and Food Festival was one of the best field trips of my life! There was dancing, history, good food, and best of all, singing! We learned a lot about the history of Turkey and other ancient civilizations. We got necklaces, free earrings and Turkish delights! It was delicious! Then we watched the folk dancers do their thing. They were amazing! We also saw this man twirling on the stage. I’m surprised how he never gets dizzy. The food was amazing. I had “Doner Kebab”. It was yummy, spicy and juicy. I loved it! The guy selling the food was yelling so loudly when he said “Doner Kebab” Then the scariest, most fun part came, the singing. Stephanie and I had to sing a Turkish song. It was called “Sigara” by famous pop singer Sebnem Ferah. We were so nervous. The scariest part is that the whole festival could hear it because the speakers were so loud! But when we were done, we felt good. My favorite part of the festival was the sticky ice cream. I know right? Sounds delicious! Stephanie and I had so much fun at the festival.
